Make Vada Anytime Anywhere

Batata Vada is a popular Indian snack, especially in the state of Maharashtra. It consists of a spiced mashed potato mixture that is coated in a chickpea flour batter and then deep-fried until golden and crispy. It is often served with chutneys and is a key component of the famous Mumbai street food dish, "Vada Pav," where the batata vada is sandwiched between a pav (bread roll).

Here’s a simple Recipe to make Batata Vada

  • 1. Mash 1 kg boiled potato

  • 2. Add 200 gram of the sanera batata vada masala

  • 3. Add freash corinders

  • 4. Mix it will

  • 5. Make ball of the stuffing

  • For the Batter

  • 1. 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)

  • 2. A pinch of turmeric powder

  • 3. A pinch of baking soda (optional, for extra crispiness)

  • 4. Water, as needed

  • 5. Oil for deep frying

  • Frying the Vadas

  • 1. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

  • 2. Dip each potato ball into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated, and gently drop it into the hot oil.

  • 3. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
